David Cicconi is a commercial director, photographer, and creative director who has been shooting and art directing for 20 years. During his tenure as photo director at Travel + Leisure, the publication received some 20 plus accolades for achievement in photography, including from the Society of Publication Designers (SPD) and American Photography, among others.
After T+L, David divided his residence between Spain and Italy, shooting for editorial clients. He was selected as one of Photo District News' "30 Emerging Photographers," published a book with Rizzoli, and received an SPD award.
David launched the global lifestyle title, Trunk—an acclaimed print magazine with multiple awards from SPD and American Photography. In his dual role as publisher and creative director, David conceptualized, art directed and produced the magazine's visual content and supervised all aspects of the title's production and marketing.
Subsequently, David was the creative director at Epicurious.com, where he art directed and produced all original photography and video, establishing a singular aesthetic for the rebranding of the site. And most recently he was creative director at Food & Wine where he redefined the brand through a stylistic overhaul of its print photography and online video.
David speaks Spanish and Italian and has dual (American & European) citizenship. He currently resides in New York City.
